Ukrainian-born Oleksandr Shpak is one of the three leading figures of the Berlin Ballet Company, both artistically and organizationally. He began dancing as a child and completed his training at the Academy in Perm and the renowned John Cranko School in Stuttgart. He then danced for sixteen seasons with the Staatsballett Berlin.

Even during his active time on stage, Oleksandr continued his education in the field of cultural management, founding the production company Ballet Entertainment in 2017 with his colleagues Alexander Abdukarimov and Arshak Ghalumyan and finally the Berlin Ballet Company in 2023.
