Federico Spallitta discovered his passion for dance in Turin, Italy at age 5. To pursue dance professionally, he moved to Munich at 17 to train under Konstanze Vernon at Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung, graduating with honors after 3 years. At 20, Spallitta joined Staatsballett Berlin, his first company, dancing for 16 seasons and becoming a soloist in 2015. In Berlin, he worked with multiple directors and famed choreographers.

In 2011, he garnered the Danza & Danza Award for Best Italian Dancer Abroad. His diverse repertoire spans classical to contemporary styles, allowing him to perform works by Bart, Spoerli, Béjart, Malakhov, Preljocaj, Cranko, Forsythe, Eyal, Duato, Kylián, Naharin, Maillot and more. After over 16 prolific years with Staatsballett Berlin, Spallitta began freelancing in summer 2023.
