ABOUT

Originating from Armenia, Arshak's ballet journey began at age nine at the Yerevan State Ballet School. His standout performance at the 2002 Prix de Lausanne earned him a scholarship to the Hamburg Ballet School, where he graduated in 2004. Joining the Staatsballett Berlin, he rose to soloist in 2011.

In Berlin, Arshak collaborated with renowned choreographers, embodying diverse roles like Jirí Kylián's "Return to a Strange Land”, George Balanchine's "Jewels", and Angelin Preljocaj's "Snow White". Amid this repertoire, his passion for choreography ignited.

He crafted original pieces for Berlin's company and international counterparts including "Mare Crisium" and "Don Quixote". Arshak's dedication extends to nurturing emerging talent through workshops, reflecting his commitment to the ballet art’s future.
